Woodruff Middle School is a charter member of the Peachtree Conference which was organized in 1978. Original charter member schools included Blacksburg, Campobello-Grambling, Cowpens, Lincoln Middle, Mabry Junior High, Pacolet Middle, Roebuck Middle, South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind, and Woodruff Junior High School.

Today's conference member schools include Boiling Springs, Carver, Dawkins, DR Hill, Fairforest, Florence Chapel, Gable, McCracken, Rainbow Lake, Sims, and Woodruff.   Long standing relationships with these Spartanburg and Union County middle schools provide healthy rivalries and competitive contests hosted within reasonable travel distances for the communities.
