March 2, the Eighth Grade Class visited two colleges in Spartanburg- Spartanburg Community College and the University of South Carolina-Upstate.   Students were able to tour classrooms, interact with faculty and hear about prospective caeer options, and visit dorm facilities, college book stores and libraries.  

Each year, the Eighth Grade Class at Woodruff Middle School travels to Washington, D.C. We plan the field  trip to our nation's capital to help our students develop an understanding about the foundations of American democracy, the origins and functions of government, and the relationship of the United States to other nations and to world affairs. Our past Washington, D.C. field trips have been extremely successful and have proven to be a great learning experience for both the students and teachers involved.   This year's trip dates are February 15-18, 2012.
