Cafeteria

Cafeteria Manager Mrs. Ann Greene and Staff prepare and serve breakfast and lunch meals to a hungry student body!  About 200 students eat breakfast each morning which is served from 7:15 am-7:45 am.  Lunch service begins at 11 am for the 6th grade, 11:50 for the 7th grade, and 12:35 for the 8th grade.

Health Services

Our School Nurse provides direct health care to students and staff who may be injured while at school, develop a sudden illness while at school, and who need care while at school as prescribed by a physician.  Our nurse also provides health screenings, helps promote a healthy school environment by monitoring  immunization compliance and evaluating potential communicable diseases, and also functions as a teacher by providing health education and information to students, family, and staff.  A school nurse does not diagnose, however, and may not treat without a physician's order.  A physician's order is necessary to give any medicines- prescription or over the counter- at school.  

 

 

Transportation

Our school traffic procedures are designed to ensure students remain safe as they arrive and are dismissed from campus on foot, in cars, and by school bus.  Local law enforcement officers help direct traffic on SJ Workman Highway to help traffic flows smoothly and ensure students are provided safe access as the school cross walk.

Car traffic uses Theo Circle and the road entrance closer to the tennis courts.  Please see the car traffic diagram for more details.  No student should be dropped off or picked up from any locations other than this area except by permission from the principal.  

Bus traffic uses the road entrance closer to the track facility.  Our district encompasses the largest geographical area of all the Spartanburg County school districts.  Transportation Director Mr. Scott Adkins coordinates the 21 bus routes that cover 1,200 miles of roads each day to transport students to and from school.  Our primary concern is to transport the more than 1,000 district students who ride buses each day is a safe manner.
